(KPL) Hyundai Motors has donated US$ 100,000 to help flood relief efforts in provinces across Laos.

The handover ceremony was held in Vientiane Capital on October 24, 2018 between Minister of Labour and Social Welfare Khampheng Saysompheng and General Manager of Hyundai Motors Asia Region Choi Jinhyuk.

“This donation from the Hyundai Motors will contribute to helping people who have been affected by floods in Laos, especially in Attapeu Province,” said  Mr Choi Jinhyuk.

The collapse of the Xepian-Xe Nam Noy dam in late July caused severe flooding in downstream Sanamxay district, Attapeu province. The flooding has claimed dozens of lives and left over 50 people missing and more than 7,000 people displaced or homeless.
