(KPL) The Lao Fashion Week, known as the most prestigious international fashion event in Laos, helps push the Lao fashion towards international stage.
“From the very humble beginning, Lao Fashion Week has achieved milestones by being the most important role player in fashion industry in Laos,” Lao Fashion Week CEO-Founder, Ms Pany Saignavongs told the Lao Fashion Week 2018 launched at Crowne Plaza Hotel, Vientiane on Sep 10, 2018.
The Lao Fashion Week 2018 is being organized at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Vientiane between Sep 10 and 14, 2018.
Celebrating its 5th anniversary this year, Lao Fashion Week 2018 has more than 50 participating designers including more than 30 leading designers from international stages to showcase their glamorous collections throughout the festive week.
“We are proud to have put Laos onto the international fashion map as well as successfully made Laos as part of the international fashion families and we are looking forward to the sustainable development and long standing partnership with our local and international counterparts,” said Ms Pany Saignavongs.
“Before Lao Young Designers Project, becoming a fashion designer was just a dream for young talents in Laos. Lao Young Designers Project has made them realize there is nothing impossible as long as there are will and courage and given opportunities. We are proud to have helped young talents pursuing their dreams,” said Ms Pany.
“Lao Fashion Week is not just about glamours and fame, in respect to our origin of homegrowing in a developing nation, we have launched our humanitarian programmes of fashion for a good cause and fashion for all,” added Ms Pany.
With strong objectives in developing textiles and fashion industries for the country, through the ultimate challenges and hard works since the start, Lao Fashion Week has established strong partnership and close collaboration with various international counterparts namely the esteemed ESMOD International School of Fashion and Business in Paris, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts School of Designs in Singapore, London College of Design and Fashion in Hanoi, Fashion institute of Philippines in Manila, Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week, Manila Fashion Festival, leading fashion houses in Bangkok and any more.
