That Luang Stupa in Vientiane photo shot by Ikham Khamlasee a photographer of Laos News Agency has won ASEAN 2017 Cup at a photo exhibition held on the occasion of celebrating ASEAN’s 50th anniversary in Hanoi, Vietnam on Aug 8, 2017.
The award winning photo portrays the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic in Vientiane Capital on Dec 2, 2015.
Over 200 photos featuring landscapes and people of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) are being displayed at the exhibition held at Ly Thai To Square in Hanoi, Vietnam on Aug 5-11.
The exhibition’s theme “ASEAN Countries and People” aims to help promote understanding and cohesiveness among the bloc’s members with a vision of continuing ASEAN’s development as a united, dynamic, prosperous, and peaceful community.
The Association of Southeast Asian Nations, or ASEAN, is a socio-economic bloc of ten countries in Southeast Asia that was founded on Aug 8, 1967. Its member states include Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
