The Sri Lankan Navy arrested about 50 Indian fishermen for allegedly casting their nets in Sri Lankan territorial waters, PTI reported on Tuesday.

According to navy spokesman Chaminda Walakuluge, the fishermen were bottom trawling, which is illegal in Sri Lanka. They were escorted to the harbor in Jaffna and were to be handed over to the fisheries inspection office.
